QuestionDo I have to follow manufacturer published Maintenance Plans for my aircraft?
AnswerNo, you may build your own inspection program. No additional approval is required as long as you comply with all inspections contained within the published intervals in the Maintenance Manual. If you decide to use increased intervals or include any other changes, you must obtain an FAA approved A.A.I.P. We recommend that you subscribe to CESCOM 2001 in order to create your unique sign off sheets. This is especially beneficial if you are planning to take the aircraft to a Citation Service Center for maintenance.
