QuestionWhat is Cessna doing to improve airplane reliability?
AnswerCessna is implementing MSG-3 for building Maintenance Plans. For the last 30 years, the airlines used this process to design their Maintenance Plans with the Manufacturer. Cessna is working with the NBAA and other Manufacturers helping this process become the standard in the Corporate Aircraft Industry. By having a standard method of analysis, we can develop the most economical program while maintaining the highest levels of safety. In addition, by using the group approach for the development, with customers and regulatory agencies involvement, everyone has a much better understanding of the inspection program requirements. With this process, reliability improvements are identified before an airplane reaches the field.
